Cooperation with parents
First Steps Kindergarten prides itself on good communication between teachers, children and parents, and believes it provides a solid foundation for every child’s educational progress.
We set aside time before and after classes when requested, for teachers and parents to meet concerning their child’s development and or current situations.
Parent conferences are scheduled twice a year providing parents with a one-to-one opportunity to meet with their child’s teacher and review their progress. These conferences take place in February and May.
Additionally, parents receive monthly emails called “Newsletters” with information summarising their child’s monthly curriculum and what they have been working on in classes from the teacher. There, parents can find a letter informing them of outings, events and special activities, photographs, song lyrics, new words and grammar structures.
As well, we post current reports, photos and video clips on our website for parents and supporters to enjoy.
Open Days are cyclically organised to enable parents to take part in children’s activities. These are held twice a year and are posted on the website calendar.
